I have an astigmatism so I don't really enjoy using red dots, the dot always looks like a spiderweb or a blotchy comma to me. The extra brightness settings really help with that, the blotch looks much smaller to me with the very dim settings available on this sight. I installed it on a Ruger Charger & the windage setting was perfect out of the box, a few turns of the elevation knob & I was on target. Added bonus the knob was able to be turned with a .22lr rim.
First let me say i usually only buy Sig Sauer optics. I really like them. I purchased this for a SKS and didnt want a 400$ optic on it. I purchased this just to throw on and zero for a plinker.
I was not expecting much. I was zeroing at poi/poa at 50M. Was zeroed in 2-3 stripper clips. Then ran 100rds keeping most of the barrel warm but not hot. It never lost zero. Took it out several more times, no issue. Works well in mid day sun,Night time. Dot is small. Glass is decent. Never fogged on me. Battery life is low. 24 hours or so. Fine by me.
Mount screw MUST have blue lock tight on threads and threads are shallow and can be stripped fairly easily it appears. I havnt done it but i could see it happen.
I am extremely happy with this red dot. Will get more.
